What is it?
We pick the kids up in our really cool After School Martial Arts van. That alone will be fun for the kids! We will safely bring them back to our state-of-the-art 4600 sq.ft. martial arts facility and teach them martial arts, life skills/character development, and child safety until you pick them up between 5:30 and 6:00 PM. We will also be able to provide camps and martial arts training to them on the teacher in-service days, spring breaks and we will be offering summer camps that will be totally cool and fun for the kids.
The children will not only get exercise during the martial arts class, but they will learn discipline, manners and respect for teachers, parents, friends and themselves. They will learn self-esteem by earning belt ranks. This helps them feel self-confident and develops a “Yes, I can!” attitude that will carry over into school, home and sports. In the martial arts, we call this “Black Belt Excellence!”
Our Instructors
We have some of the best, most caring instructors on the planet. Our instructors are experienced with working with children and love doing it. Our instructors are all certified under the American Taekwondo Association which has the most stringent certification requirements in the industry. Background checks have also been performed on all instructors working with children. So rest assured that your children will be safe in our hands.

TRANSPORTED AFTER SCHOOL MARTIAL ARTS PROGRAM (TASMA)
Frequently Asked Questions
- Can my child attend just one day per week?
Participants in the After School Martial Arts Program should attend at least twice per week. Because this is an actual martial arts program, there is a curriculum with specific requirements for advancement. Attending one day per week would not provide ample learning and practice time to complete the requirements. It is understood that illness or vacation may occasionally limit your child’s attendance to one day in a given week.
- What is the daily price?
The daily rate is $27.50. Three days or more constitutes a week. The weekly rate is $79.
- Is there a discount for more than one child per family?
Yes. Weekly rates: One child = $79, two children = $146, three children - $205.
Daily rate: $27.50 with 15% for each additional family member.
- Do I still have to pay if I go on vacation?
No. Payments are made weekly, for the following week. You will need to notify ATA FMA to reserve your spot in the program. If you will be on vacation for more than two weeks, there will be a $15 per week reservation fee.
- If I only attend three or four days per week, do I pay the daily price or the weekly price?
The daily rate is $27.50. You pay the weekly rate of $79 for three or more days.
- Can I pay monthly? Can I pay in full for a full semester or term?
You can pay monthly if you choose, but no refunds will be provided for time not attended, i.e. last minute vacations, illness, etc.
- Do you have an all-day program for school holidays? If so, is there an extra cost?
Yes. We have all-day programs for school holidays, spring and fall breaks, teacher in-service days, etc. See the fee schedule for rates.
- If I have paid for the week and my child gets sick, do I get a refund for the sick days?
Sick days will be credited to the following week or other services offered by ATA FMA.
- Is there time for homework?
Our After School Martial Arts program is a licensed martial arts program, which will take up the majority of the time your child is with us. Students are required to train in a minimum number of classes each cycle to be prepared for testing. They may have some time before or after class time that they can spend on homework.
- Is there a snack time? Do they need to bring their own snacks?
There will be time for snacks before and after classes. Each child should bring their own snack. Snacks are also available for purchase.
- Do they have to bring their uniform home each day or can they leave it there?
Children may leave their uniforms at the studio during the week, but must take them home for cleaning at the end of each week. Each child will have an assigned space for their belongings.
- What kind of changing facilities do you have available?
We have three separate dressing rooms and four restrooms available for changing into and out of uniforms.
- Can my son’s younger brother attend, but not participate in the martial arts?
No. Because this program is not a daycare, students are required to participate in the martial arts program.
- What happens if I don’t make it there by 6:00pm to pick up my kids?
You have a 15-minute grace period (until 6:15pm). After that, a $5 late fee is assessed for each 15-minute period (or portion thereof) you are late.
- Do you do background checks on your instructors?
Yes. Criminal and sex offender background checks are done on instructors.
- I home school my kids. Can they attend this program?
Yes. However, there is no pick up for home school. Parents can drop the student(s) off at 3:45pm and pick up at 6:00pm.
- What is the Character Development class?
Character Development is an expansion of the life skills (i.e. goal-setting, perseverance, self-discipline, respect, etc.) and similar activities we currently teach in our martial arts classes. We will also be teaching child safety in these classes.
- How do we find out about weather closures?
Please check the student section of our website, www.kicks4all.com for up to the minute information on weather closures. We will also email and use our automated phone system for important information.
